EDWARD HOPPER

Edward M. Hopper, 70, of 1413 Wollmer St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning at
Maple Crest Sanitorium, Whitelaw, where he had been a patient the past year.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
the Rev. Harvey Rakow officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Hooper was born Sept. 4, 1888, at Edwardsville, Ill., son of the late Frank
and Diane Mason Hopper. In 1914, he married the former Minnie Goedke. He was
engaged in the tavern business for many years and prior to his retirement in
1954, was employed by the U.S. Government as a civic engineer. Mrs. Hopper died
in 1954, and in 1955 he married the former Mary Anderson.
Survivors include the wife, a daughter, Mrs. Fred Schultz of San Diego; four
step-daughters, Mrs. George Reitmeyer of Manitowoc, Mrs. William Hill of South
Milwaukee, Mrs. Jerry Shakoian of Anaheim, Calif., and Miss Jean Anderson of Los
Angeles and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of service.
