Walter & Winnifred Horn, ages 33 & 30, owned a home in Cato, Manitowoc Co, WI. Their son, Robert, was 1 year & 11 months. Walter had his own practice as a Veterinarian. All were born in WI.

Dies At Plymouth Following Illness of Two Years
Mrs. Walter Horn, 46, Valders, died Wednesday at Plymouth following an illness of over two years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 from the home in Valders, the Rev. C.H. Phipps of the First Presbyterian church of Manitowoc,officiating. Burial will be made in Evergreen cemetery. The body will lie at
the home tomorrow and until the time of the services on Saturday.

Mrs. Horn, nee Winfred Agnes McCarthy(sic), was born October 15, 1889 in Ozaukee county. She came to Manitowoc county in 1916. On December 23, 1916 she was married to Walter Horn.

Survivors include the widower, her mother, Mrs. William McCarthy of Saukville; a daughter, Rita Mae, a son, Robert Walter, both at home; two brothers, Morris and John McCarthy, both of Saukville; and three sisters, Mrs. LeRoy Salter, West Bend; Mrs. Carl A. Krueter, Appleton; and Mrs. Walter T. Kerseg, Milwaukee."

"MRS. WALTER HORN IS LAID TO REST AFTER RITES AT VALDERS
St. Nazianz. - The funeral of Mrs. Walter Horn, who died Wednesday, was held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Horn home at Valders. The Rev. C.H. Phipps of the First Presbyterian church of Manitowoc officiated and burial was made in the Evergreen City cemetery at Manitowoc.

Mrs. Horn, nee Winifred McCarthy, was born Oct. 15, 1889, in Ozaukee county, and on Dec. 23, 1916, was united in marriage to Walter Horn of Fredonia. The couple have always resided at Valders where Mr. Horn is a veterinarian.

The room in which the body lay in state was filled with beautiful floral tributes. The auxiliary to the Burkard-Thompson Post No. 28 of the American Legion, of which Mrs. Horn was a former president attended the services in a body. Mrs. Horn was also a member of the Ladies' Progressive club of Valders.

Pallbearers were: E.J. Phipps, Thomas Larson, Elton Morgan, Walter Miller, Thomas Ryan of Valders and Dr. Charles Van DeSand of Kiel.

Mrs. Horn is survived by her husband, a son, Robert, age 18, a daughter, Rita Mae, age 11, her mother, Mrs. William McCarthy of Saukville; three sisters, Mrs. Leroy Salter of West Bend, Mrs. C.A. Krueter of Appleton, and Mrs. W.T. Kerseg of Milwaukee and two brothers, John and Morris McCarthy, both of Saukville."

"PLAN LAST RITES FOR MRS. MCCARTHY AT FUNERAL HOME
Port Washington. - Funeral services for Mrs. Frances McCarthy, 77, a resident of the town of Saukville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Poole Funeral home in this city, the Rev. Russell Myers of the Congregational church conducting the last rites. Interment will be made in the St. Finbars cemetery.

Mrs. McCarthy, nee Ryan, was born in the town of Trenton, Washington county, on Nov. 25, 1862. She was married to William McCarthy at Newburg on June 19, 1883. They settled on a farm in the town of Saukvillle, where thy continued to reside.

She is survived by two sons, Morris and John McCarthy; three daughters, Mrs. Daisy Salter, Mrs. Eileen Kreuter and Mrs. Monica Kerseg; one brother, Dr.T.D. Ryan; one sister, Mrs. Mary Cronin; and six grandchildren.

Mrs. McCarthy died at her home at 5 p.m., Tuesday, following an illness the past three months."
