MARTIN HRABIK (d. 1930)

M. HRABIK, OLD RESIDENT PASSES AWAY
Martin Hrabik, 72, who has been a patient at the Holy Family hospital for the
past week, suffering from a paralytic stoke, passed away yesterday morning at
10:15. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock from
the home of his daughter, Mrs. Reinhardt Griebling, 1517 New York avenue, with
whom he lived for many years following the death of his wife.
Burial will take place at the Evergreen cemetery and Rev. Phipps of the
Presbyterian church will officiate at the service.
Mr. Hrabik was born in Bohemia, Jan. 3, 1858, and with his parents came to
this county sixty-two years ago remaining for fourteen years. The family then
moved to Kewaunee, living there for 24 years and came back in 1904 to make
their home in this city.
The deceased is survived by six children. Mrs. Louis Raatz, Mrs. John Katt,
Mrs. Reinhardt Griebling, Frank and George, all of this city, and M.C. Hrabik
of North Fond du Lac. Fifteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren also
survive. He was also an active member of the F.R.A.
The body will be removed from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei mortuary this
afternoon and the remains may be viewed at the Griebling home.
