Mrs. Harley E. (Mona) Hrudka, 52, of Cato, died Thursday in Holy Family Hospital,
Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Good Shepherd Lutheran
Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. John C. Brogaard will officiate with burial in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Hrudka, nee Mona Degeneffe, was born Sept. 14, 1925 in Pensaukee, daughter
of the late Raymond and Amanda Lear Degeneffe. She was educated in Oconto County
and was employed at Branch Cheese Co. She was married to Harley E. Hrudka
January 23, 1943 in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in December of 1973. She
was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Survivors include five sons and two daughters-in-law, Allen and Kathy of Valders,
Raymond and Carla of Gibsonton, Fla., Randy of Mishicot and Bruce and Jeffrey at
home; four daughters and a son-in-law, Beverly and Guy Maertz of Manitowoc, Judy
and Kim at home and Kathy of Two Rivers; a brother and sister-in-law, Elmo and
Rose Degeneffe of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marion and
Burton Cox of Beecher and Arlene and Jim Nelson of Crivitz; her mother-in-law,
Mrs. Alvina Hrudka of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by an infant daughter and a sister.
Friends may call in Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, Ninth Street
Chapel from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and at the church Monday 10 a.m. until the
time of service.
