STROKE PROVES FATAL TO OLD CITY RESIDENT
Mrs. C.R. Hubbard, nee Mary K. Lenerville, died at the family home,
829 North Sixth street, at ten o'clock Saturday evening following
a brief illness. The funeral will be held tomorrow, (Tuesday),
morning at nine o'clock with services at the Sacred Heart Catholic
church, the Rev. W.J. Luby officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen.
The death of Mrs. Hubbard followed a stroke which she suffered two
weeks ago and from which there seemed hope that she would recover,
her condition having shown marked improvement up to within a day
or two before the end. Mrs. Hubbard had been in good health before
the sudden attack.
Mrs. Hubbard was born in Manitowoc county April 27, 1861, and has
always made her home here. She was married in this city October 11,
1880 and is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. W. Weiland,
Peru, Ill., and Miss Cora of this city and two sons Arden and Rollin,
both of this city. Three grand children also survive. Mrs. Hubbard
was a member of the Royal Neighbors and during the earlier years of
the organization was quite active but of late years has lived more
or less of a retired life, devoting herself to her home.
