Huebner of 1607 Columbus street, who was killed in New Guinea in December, 1942,
will arrive here tonight.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First German Evangelical
Lutheran church, the Rev L. H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery, where the Amvets will have charge of the military rites.
Pfc. Huebner was born in Newton in 1915 and a few years later the family moved
to this city. He was employed as a carpenter before entering the service.
Survivors are his parents; three brothers, Edward and Norbert of this city and
Herbert of Monroe, La.; and a niece, Marilyn Huebner of Monroe.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday
and the casket will be moved to the church at 10 a.m. Thursday.
