Horace H. Huebner, age 87, of 2115 Cappert Road, Manitowoc, died on Wednesday
afternoon, Feb. 17, 2010, at Harmony Assisted Living.
Horace was born on July 31, 1922, in Yakima, Wash., son of the late Frederick
and Augusta (Robock) Huebner. He married the former Roberta Van Patten in
Naches, Wash., on Jan. 17, 1948. She preceded him in death on June 10, 2005.
Horace owned and operated a service station in Tieton, Wash., for many years
and retired from Manitowoc Engineering. He was a member of Calvary Assembly
of God Church.
Survivors include his three children and their spouses: Harry (Nancy) Lefferts,
Livonia, Mich.; Lilli Lefferts, Milton, Fla.; Daryl (Sherry) Huebner, Manitowoc;
Juanita (Jeff) Nichols, Merced, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren;
three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Leah (Fritz) Bernhardt, Racine;
Virginia Kietzke, Baraboo; Jerry (Sharon) Van Patten, Juneau. He was preceded
in death by his parents; his wife, Roberta; one son, Reggie Lefferts; one
brother and sister-in-law: Clifford (June) Huebner; two brothers-in-law and one
sister-in-law: Hilmer Kietzke, Lester (Shirley) Bridges.
Burial of his cremated remains will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory of Manitowoc is serving the Huebner
family.
