Cornelius Hutchison, 86, of Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc, died Saturday, January 16,
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate and military services will be conducted
by the VFW Post 659 of Manitowoc. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Hutchison was born Nov. 13, 1895, at Sheboygan, son of the late John M. and
Emilie Katte Hutchison. He married Hulda Russo April 23, 1921, at Sheboygan. They
celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1971. Mr. Hutchison was employed
with Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., prior to his retirement in 1960. He was a veteran,
serving in the United States Army Infantry in World War I. He was a member of VFW
Post 659, World War I Barracks 2565 and Boilermakers Local 443 of Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Hulda, a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Emma
Hutchison and a daughter and son-in-law, Delores and Albin Wiegert of Appleton;
five brothers, Edward of Sheboygan and Theodore, Clarence, Andrew and Henry of
Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Klein of Manitowoc and Mrs. Annie Gutknecht
of Sheboygan, six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Six brothers and a
sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday evening
and Tuesday until the time of service.
