MARY HYNEK (d. 1953)

Mrs. Mary Hynek, 74, of 3307 Calumet Ave., Manitowoc, died Monday at the home
of a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. Dr. C. H. Phipps of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate and
burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Mary Simon in Cooperstown in 1879, daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Simon. In 1897 she was married to Joseph Hynek and they located on
a farm in Franklin. Twelve years ago they moved to Manitowoc. Her husband died
in 1942.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Frank Litek and Mrs. James Opitchka of
Manitowoc; four sons, Frank of Kellnersville, Joseph of Maribel and Charles
and Victor of Manitowoc; four brothers, James, John, Louis and Anton of Denton,
Mont.; sister, Mrs. Anna Hoffman of Denmark, Wis.; 12 grandchildren and six
great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
