Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 1997, at St. Paul's
United Church of Christ, Wausau. Rev. Donald Baumann will officiate. Graveside
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born August 21, 1913, in Wausau, son of the late Herman and Elizabeth (Tessmer)
Jaecks. He married Lucille Oestereich December 5, 1936, in Wausau. She preceded him
in death. Clarence had been employed at the former Silbernagel's, 3M Corporation and
for 27 years at the former Wausau Brewery. The Jaecks family moved to Manitowoc where
Clarence had been employed at Weyerhaeuser Corporation until the time of his retirement.
He enjoyed fishing, taking rides and playing cards with his regular group of buddies
at the North End Pub.
Survivors include five children Lois (Burton) Drake, Clarence Jr. (Mary) Jaecks, all
of Wausau, Keith Jaecks, Georgia, Allen "Al" (Rosemary) Jaecks, Lynn (Lewis) Fischer,
all of Manitowoc; a special friend, Pearl Otto, Wausau; 16 grandchildren; nine great-
grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Ruth Merwin, Wisconsin Rapids;
four brothers-in-law; and our sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in
death by several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home, 1302 6th St.,
Wausau. There will be visitation again on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service
at the church.
Lambert Funeral Home, Mishicot, is in charge of local arrangements.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Ben and Evelyn Biese and to
Bob and Judy Wescott for their continued love, support and care.
