Dorothy E. Jajewski, 79, Oshkosh, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 1992, at Pleasant Acres.
She was born in Green Bay on March 24, 1913, the daughter of Glen and Harriet Asimont Wheelock. On June 10, 1936, she married Jess Strong in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1961. On July 1, 1972, she married Martin Jajewski in Stevens Point. He preceded her in death in September 1973.
Dorothy was a chief operator with Wisconsin Bell for 45 years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and was a volunteer at Mercy Medical Center. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Stevens Point.
Her survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Edward Wilcox; four grandchildren, Ann, John (Wendy), Mary and Robert Wilcox all of Oshkosh; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon and Zita Wheelock of Brolingbrook, Ill., Russell and Janice Wheelock of Pensacola, Fla., Glen Jr. and Trudy Wheelock of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and V. James and Sashi Wheelock of Lakeland, Fla.; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille and Charles Downs, and June and Warren Couvillion, all of Greta, La.
Dorothy was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Wheelock, and a sister, Phylis Wheelock West.
Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, in the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, with the Rev. Martin Carr officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.
