CLARENCE JERABEK

Clarence J. "Duke" Jerabek, age 85, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal
life on Tuesday morning, Nov. 9, 2010, at the family residence.
Clarence was born on July 12, 1925, at Grimms, Manitowoc County. He was the
son of the late Frank and Christina Moesler Jerabek. Clarence attended
Washington High School in Two Rivers.
In July 1943, he entered the United States Navy, serving overseas during World
War II.
He served in the Armed Corps/Rigg and stationed on the SS John Steele and the
SS Cape Race.
After his honorable discharge on Dec. 1, 1946, Clarence returned to the Two
Rivers and Manitowoc area and became employed with Schwartz Manufacturing for
44 years, retiring in 1987.
On Dec. 1, 1951, he married Kathryn Gill at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
Manitowoc.
Clarence is a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Knights of
Columbus Council No. 710, member and past President of the Board of Directors
of Roncalli High School. In past years Clarence was very active with various
softball and dartball leagues in the area.
He enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sporting events. Clarence
took pride in his gardening and landscaping.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Christina Jerabek; half-
brother: Roy Lamach; son-in-law: Green Bay fireman Lt. Arnie Wolff, who died
in the line of duty on Aug. 13, 2006.
Funeral serivces will be held 12 noon on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at St. Francis
of Assisi on Waldo.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by the Rev. Daniel Veirtel
and Rev. Gerald Foley. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo on Friday
from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 12 noon.
