BARBARA (WEGNER) JOHNSON (d. 1929)

RESIDENT OF GIBSON PASSES AWAY IN CITY
Mrs. Barbara Johnson, nee Barbara Wegner of Gibson, who has made her home in
the city for the past three months, coming here from Roselawn, Mich., passed
away at the Holy Family hospital at seven o’clock this morning.
Mrs. Johnson was born at Gibson, July 23, 1885, and married Edward Johnson on
October 11, 1916, and two children Milo and Virgil were born to the couple.
Funeral services will be held on Monday morning at nine o’clock at the Sacred
Heart church with Rev. Luby officiating. The body may be viewed at the Wattawa
Undertaking parlors tonight from seven to nine o’clock. On Sunday morning the
body will be taken to the home of a sister, Mrs. S. F. Niemer, 512 North
Seventh street.
The deceased is survived by her husband Edward Johnson, two children, her
father, John Wegner of this city, five sisters and six brothers, Mrs. Nick Sihr,
Gibson, Mrs. Christ Johannes, Two Rivers, Mrs. H. E. Burns of Chicago, Mrs.
Oscar Peterson, Manitowoc, Mrs. S. F. Niemer, Manitowoc, John Wegner, Two Rivers,
Nick of Cooperstown, Edward and Joseph of Mishicot, Clarence of Plymouth, Ind.,
and Walter of Manitowoc.
