CLARA JOHNSON (d. 1956)

Mrs. Joseph Johnson, 66, of 2414 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc, died at an early
hour Tuesday at the home after suffering a heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Wesley Methodist Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Donald Stannard will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Clara Myrtle Krug was born at Manitowoc March 5, 1890, daughter
of the late Adam and Wilhelmina Herman Krug. She was married Feb. 28, 1912,
and the couple always resided at Manitowoc. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the
Esther Circle and the Women’s Society of Christian Service of the church and
the Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving her are the husband, a daughter, Mrs. Francis Clark of Manitowoc,
a son, Kenneth of Denver, Colo., and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after
2 p.m. Thursday until 10 a.m. Friday when the casket will be moved to the
church where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
The Rebekah Lodge will conduct a service at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday.
