Mrs. Frank H. (Edith Caroline) Johnson, 84, formerly of 3320 Chasm Lane,
Manitowoc, died Thursday evening in St. Mary Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday in First Lutheran Chapel, N.
8th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Richard Lind will officiate and burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Johnson, nee Edith Caroline Meinhart, was born Jan. 4, 1895, in Brown,
Iowa, daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth Meyers Meinhart. She was
educated in Brown, Iowa. She was married to Frank H. Johnson in 1920, in
Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Royal Neighbors and Kelvyn
Park Chapter 909 of the Order of Eastern Star, Chicago, Ill.
Survivors include her husband, Frank; three sons Robert Edwards of Chicago,
Erville (Storm) Johnson of Manitowoc, and Harold E. Johnson of Chicago; two
brothers, Rupert Meinhart of Freemont, Nebr., and Harold Meinhart of Roselle,
Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Donald (Maxine) Cameron of Scottsdale, Ariz.; three
grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by a brother, George and three sisters, Lolie, Rosalie,
Marcella.
Friends may call in Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 p.m.
to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday from noon until the time of services in First
Lutheran Chapel.
