Edward Johnson, 75, former Manitowoc resident, died Thursday in a hospital at
Tallahassee, Fla., following three weeks illness. He and Mrs. Johnson had
gone to Florida on a vacation trip.
Funeral services will be held in Manitowoc early next week.
He was born in Manitowoc, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson and married
Miss Emma Schroeter. For many years, until his retirement, he was employed at
the Eastman Manufacturing Company. A year and a half ago Mr. and Mrs. Johnson
left for Detroit to reside with a son, Edward Jr. He was a member of the Odd
Fellows lodge in Manitowoc.
Surviving are his wife and a son, Edward Jr., of Detroit; two brothers, Joseph
of Manitowoc and John of Milwaukee; and a sister, Mrs. Ida Ladwig of Milwaukee.
