Florian (Toby) Kaminski, age 81, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center,
Manitowoc, died Tuesday, February 24, 1998, at Holy Family Memorial Medical
Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 27, 1998, at St. Mary
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be
Rev. Roman Zbieranski, O.F.M. with burial to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
He was born August 8, 1916, in Manitowoc, son of the late Michael and Marcella
Derla Kaminski Sr. On September 24, 1949, he married the former Margaret A.
Metzger in Manitowoc. Toby was employed as a meat cutter in the Manitowoc area
for many years until his retirement in 171. He was also a 27 year member of the
Musicians Local #195, playing for many local bands.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret, Manitowoc; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law,
Beverly and Joe Felhofer, Sturgeon Bay; one brother, Leonard Kaminski, Manitowoc;
two grandsons, Joey John and Keith Felhofer; one great-grandson, Joshua; a special
nephew, Ed Waniger, Jr., Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by five brothers, five sisters
and a granddaughter, Terra Ann Felhofer.
Friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time
of service at 10 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral
arrangements.
