JOHN W. KAMINSKI (d. 1967)

John W. Kaminski, 70 of 727 S. 25th St., Manitowoc, died Friday
evening at home following a heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Mittnacht Funeral
Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The
Very Rev. Clement P. Kern will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Military rites will be conducted
byOtto Oas Post No. 659, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Kaminski was born Dec. 9, 1896, at Hibbing, Minn. He served
withthe United States Army during World War I. After completing
his military duty he came to Manitowoc and worked at Manitowoc
Shipbuilding Co. until 1940.
He married the former Anna Orchekowski June 10, 1923, at Sacred
Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mr. Kaminski was employed by
the Board of Education as a custodian at Woodrow Wilson Junior
High School, Manitowoc, for 14 years.
Mr. Kaminski retired in 1962. He was a member of the Veterans of
Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife; a son (private); three daughters
(private); a sister, Mrs. Mary Drayna, of California; and eight
granchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where
the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. by members of the parish.

John Kaminski, who served in the 337th Infantry of the 85th Division,
returned to his home at Mishicot today with his honorable discharge.
Private Kaminski spent eight months overseas and two months of that
time he was located in England. He was not given an opportunity to
see actual battle service.
