LEONARD HAROLD KAMINSKI

Leonard (Lenny) H. Kaminski, age 84, a resident of the Manitowoc Health Care
Center, died peacefully Monday morning, Sept. 27, 2004, at the center.
He was born Aug. 12, 1920, in Manitowoc, son of the late Michael and Marcella
(Derla) Kaminski Sr. Leonard attended technical school for auto mechanics. He
began his career working for various trucking companies including Consolidated
Freightways and George Clark Transit. He was also employed at Aluminum Specialty
Co. Leonard was employed as a heavy-duty mechanic for the city of Manitowoc from
1962 until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church,
a 50 year member of Eagles Aeries #706 serving as a trustee for many years and
a retired member of the Teamsters Local Union #75.
Survivors include a son: Oran Kaminski, Manitowoc; three daughters and sons-in-
law: Joanne and Dick Reynolds, Manitowoc; Karen and Jerry Belinske, Green Bay;
and Kay Frances and Jim Birringer, Newton. He is further survived by Ella
Schroeder, Manitowoc; along with nine grandchildren: Debbie (John) Gibardt, Cherie
(Steve) Campion, Jeff (Roe) Kaminski, Brenda (Paul) Peltier, Terry Reynolds, Mark
(Carmen) Belinske, Kevin (Trisha) Belinske, Brian and Jason Birringer; and six
great-grandchildren: Derek and Monica Denzer, Josh Campion, Terra Reynolds, Jacob
Peltier and Zackary Birringer. Also surviving is a special nephew: Sonny Waniger;
along with other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death
by six brothers: Alois, Daniel, Michael Jr., Anton, Ignatius, Florian; and five
sisters: Anna, Adeline, Francis, Emily and Josephine.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc,
from 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, until the time of Mass of 11 a.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at St. Mary
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be
the Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the
family with funeral arrangements.
Special love and care was given to his grandpa from his grandson, Terry (Bosco)
Reynolds. The Kaminski family would also like to express a very special thank
you to the entire staff of the Sunshine Cove Unit at the Manitowoc County Health
Care Center for their special care and concern shown to Lenny and his family.
