Kathleen P. (Katie) Keil, age 79, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center,
Manitowoc, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002 at Shady Lane.
Funeral services will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation
Center, Manitowoc, Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. Deacon Paul Kieffer will
officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Katie was born Jan. 5, 1923 in Manitowoc, to the late Glenn and Amanda Scholten
Johnson. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1940. On Oct. 2,
1943 she married Roland L. Keil in Manitowoc. Mr. Keil preceded her in death
May 26, 1976. Katie worked for many years as a seamstress at Schuette Bros.
Department Store. She was a member of the Manitowoc County Historical Society and
the Manitowoc Senior Center.
Survivors include three children: Gary Keil, Jam (sic) (Pat) Keil, all of Manitowoc;
Cathey Keil of Eagle, Colo.; four grandchildren: Scott (Jill) Keil; Kristin Keil
and her fiance, Andy Sorenson; Adam Noha and Cody Noha; a brother: Glen (Helen)
Johnson Jr. of Manitowoc; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She
was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 628 N.
Water St., Manitowoc, Sunday from 5 p.m. until the time of funeral services at
7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to the Alzheimer's
Association.
