Frank Kimmel, 79, retired farmer, died Friday night at the homestead farm on
route 5, Manitowoc, near Branch, which is now operated by his son, John. He had
been seriously ill two months.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and
Schlei funeral home, and at 9:30 from the Holy Innocents church, the Rev. E. A.
Radey officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Kimmel was born in Bohemia in 1861 and in 1894 came to this country, locating
in Manitowoc. In 1896 he married Miss Anna Krause and they located on a farm at
Gibson. Later they moved to Kansas to engage in farming. In 1908 they returned to
this county, purchasing a farm near Branch.
Survivors are the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Louis Swetlik, Mrs. Erwin Swetlik
and Mrs. Julius Doubek, all of this city; two sons, John of Branch, Joseph, city;
sister, Mrs. Mary Selch of Tarzana, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and two great grand-
children. He was a member of the Z.C.B.J. lodge.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from tonight until the hour of the
services Monday.
