Gerald A. Kipping, 64, of 3826 Sand Bay Point Road, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin,
died Tuesday morning, February 14, 1989 at his residence. Funeral services will
be 11 am Friday at Salem Lutheran Church, Nasawaupee Township. Rev. Jonathan
Rossman will officiate. Interment will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town
of Kossuth.
Mr. Kipping was born August 25, 1924 at Maplewood, Wisconsin, son of the late
Joseph and Jennie Kipping. Prior to coming to Sturgeon Bay in August, 1985, he
lived in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He was a former member of Master Builders; Optimist
club and American Legion. He was catcher on the Maplewood Baseball Team. He was
also a Scout Master for many years. Mr. Kipping served in the United States Navy
during World War II. Before his retirement he was self-employed at Peterson Sheet
Metal, Manitowoc. He married Geraldine Lautenbach on October 21, 1950.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark and
Kris Kipping of Appleton and Steve Kipping of Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law,
Julia and Bill Maciejwak of Two Rivers; two grandchildren, Dylan and Dustin
Maciejwak; a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Glen Leischow of Algoma; a
brother-in-law, Elmer Dalebroux of Brookfield, Wisconsin; nieces and nephews. He
was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jeanette Dalebroux.
