Loretta A. Kirby, age 89, formerly of 2204 LaFollette Ave., Manitowoc, presently
residing at St. Mary's Home, died Sunday afternoon, April 13, 1997, at the home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 17, 1997, at Holy
Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial
will be Rev. David Zimmerman with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Loretta Zipperer was born August 28, 1907, in the town of Kossuth,
Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Wencel and Frances Siebert Zipperer. On
May 16, 1942, she married William P. Kirby at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw.
The couple resided in Whitelaw until 1952 when they moved to Manitowoc. He preceded
her in death November 5, 1973. Mr. Kirby had been employed by the former Johnson
Hills of Manitowoc for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Holy
Innocents Catholic Church.
Survivors include nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded
in death by four brothers, Reinhardt, Urban, Walter and Alfons, and four sisters,
Emma, Ida, Esther and Hilda.
Friends may call at Holy Innocents Catholic Church from 10:30 a.m. Thursday until
the time of service at 11:30 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Doctors, Nurses, Staff and
Father Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. of St. Mary's Home for the wonderful care they gave
Loretta.
