Mrs. Ole Kirkevold, 76 (photo), of route 2, Manitowoc, lifelong resident of
the county, died Thursday afternoon at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Myron Swanson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
She was born Hannah Rudie on the homestead farm in the town of Manitowoc in 1875
and following her marriage to Mr. Kirkevold the couple located in Manitowoc.
After his death a few years later she returned to the farm to reside with her
brother, John.
She was a lifelong member of the First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, and the Ladies
Aid Society of the congregation. She was honored by the congregation in October,
1950, with a life membership in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Federation, after
having been a member for nearly 60 years.
Survivors are two brothers, John of route 2, Manitowoc, and Ocar of Manitowoc and
many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Frazier Mortuary, Manitowoc, after 7 p.m. Friday. The
casket will be moved to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
