was brought here and buried in the city cemetery.

Kittell, Amasa Durwin (Nov. 7, 1824-Nov. 15, 1894 –husband of Charlotte Coats [married Feb. 5, 1854 in Wisconsin] –son of William Fisk Kittell [1799-1882] and Eliza Hannah Collins [1797- ] who were married on Aug. 29, 1821 at Stephentown in Rensselaer County, New York –Amasa was born in Chenango County, New York –on May 9, 1855, Amasa purchased the 80 acres of the E1/2 of the NW1/4 of Section 5, Town of Meeme –on Dec. 1, 1859, Amasa sold these 80, along with much other land –on May 30, 1855 purchased from the US Government the 80 acres of the E1/2 of the SE1/4 of Section 31, Town of Liberty, the 80 acres of the W1/2 of the NW1/4 of Section 5, Town of Meeme, and the 80 acres of the E1/2 of the NE1/4 of Section 6, Town of Meeme –on Nov. 17, 1858, Amasa sold the northern 10 acres of the E1/2 of the SE1/4 of Section 31, Town of Liberty to David Greenleaf –on Dec. 1, 1859, Amasa sold the remaining 230 acres of this land to Charles Norton –from May 31, 1859 to Sept. 1, 1860, Amasa owned the 119.5-acre farm centered at N3774 Weeks Road in Section 16, Town of Charlestown –from Aug. 19, 1861 to Nov. 9, 1863, Amasa was the post master at the Niles Post office in Section 10, Town of Eaton –at time of death was a resident of the City of Sheboygan) –buried at Evergreen Cemetery, City of Manitowoc
