WALTER C. KITZEROW
Walter C. Kitzerow, Sr., 84, resident of Manitowoc Health Care Center, formerly
of 724 N. 5th St., died Sunday evening, Aug. 10, at Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Private funeral services will be Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Edmund E. Olson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Kitzerow was born Nov. 10, 1895, in the Township of Gibson, Manitowoc County,
son of the late Carl and Ida Bruchert Kitzerow. He grew up and was educated in
the Township of Gibson moving to Manitowoc in 1921. He has lived here since that
time. He worked for Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company for 38 years retiring in 1961.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Jean Kitzerow, Jr., of
Manitowoc; a brother, Alfred Kitzerow of Florida; a sister, Mrs. Delia Hanson of
Milwaukee; two grandsons (private) of Manitowoc, and nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by six sisters.
There will be no visitation.
