William C. Klann, 78, retired Clarks Mills merchant, died Saturday morning at
the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Berge Funeral Home,
Valders. The Rev. Elwood Haberman will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Klann was born in Cato in 1873 and in 1904 married Miss Rose Roemer. For many
years he operated a general store in Clarks Mills, retiring 20 years ago.
Surviving are his wife; daughter, Mrs. Henry Aschenbrenner of Manitowoc; brother,
Herman of Cato; sister Mrs. Anton Hastreiter of route 1, Cato.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday.
