GILBERT KLEIN
Gilbert A. Klein, 69, of Rt. 1, Fox Lane, Two Rivers, died Sunday afternoon at
Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10
a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Thaddeus J. Koszarek will
officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Klein was born April 28, 1906, at Cleveland, son of the late Nicholas and
Caroline Halfinger Klein. He married Leona Sack April 29, 1924, at St. Boniface
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. They resided at Manitowoc until five years ago when
they moved to their present address. He had been employed by the City of Manitowoc
for 42 years, retiring in 1968. He also owned and operated the Klein Line Marking
in partnership with his son, Ron. Mr. and Mrs. Klein celebrated their golden
wedding anniversary in 1974.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Ron, of Manitowoc and Gary, of Ripon; three
daughters, Mrs. Miles (LaVerne) Dunne, of Milwaukee, Mrs. Monica Maddocks of
Redondo Beach, Calif., and Miss Carol Klein, at home; two brothers, Alvin, of
Manitowoc and Roman, of Sheboygan Falls; seven grandchildren and two great grand-
children. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday where a wake
service will be at 7:30 p.m.
