P. KLEINBAUER DIES AT HOME
Retired Carpenter Contractor To Be Buried Friday
Peter Kleinbauer, 72 (photo), retired carpenter contractor, died
early today at the home, 110 South 15th street.
Mr. Kleinbauer suffered a stroke a week ago last Thursday while
visiting at the home of his wife's sister, Mrs. Henry Martens,
Marshall street. He was removed to his home and failed to rally.
Funeral Friday
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Pfeffer
funeral home, burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Kleinbauer was born at Newton, September 8, 1864 and after
spending his boyhood on the farm learned the carpenter trade. He
located in this city and 35 years ago engaged in the contracting
business. During the next 30 years he supervised the erection of
a large number of buildings and residences in the city.
In 1892 Mr. Kleinbauer married Miss Mary Haupt of this city. Five
years ago he retired.
Widow Survives
Survivors are the widow; a son, Oscar, city; and two sisters, Mrs.
Frances Peterson and Miss Josephine Kleinbauer, both of Clarks
Mills.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home Thursday and until the
hour of services Friday.
