ALLEN J. KLEMAN
Allen J. Kleman, 70, of 1318A S. 16th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday at
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. John United Church
of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate and
burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Kleman was born Mar. 15, 1902, at Manitowoc, son of the late Michael
and Dorothy Meyer Kleman. He was graduated from Manitowoc Business College.
He served as deputy city clerk of Manitowoc in 1920. He married Hattie
Witthuhn April 24, 1943, at Manitowoc. He was employed at the Railway
Express Agency until his retirement in 1958. He was a member of Manitowoc
Lodge No. 65, Free and Accepted Masons, Senior Citizens of Manitowoc and
Manitowoc Chapter No. 16, A.M.
Survivors include his wife and nieces and nephews. A brother and two sisters
preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 to 9 p.m.
Thursday. Masonic memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m. The casket will be
moved to the church at 11:30 a.m. Friday to lie in state until the time of
service.
