Mrs. Alma E. Knell, 92, a former Manitowoc resident, died Friday afternoon, Sept 16, at St. Lukes Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arthur C. Senn will officiate with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Knell was born Nov. 7, 1890 at Randolph, Wis., daughter of the late Charles and Emma Krueger Diefenbach. She was educated at Randolph, Wis. She married Emil H. Knell, Dec. 16, 1913 at Randolph, Wis. He preceded her in death Jan. 10, 1959. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, and the Ladies Aid of the church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Knell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Philip Knell of Los Ga Gatos, California; one sister, Mrs. Herman (Alfrieda) Jung of Madison, Wis.; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and other relaitves (sic) and friends. She was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Thompson. Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Sunday evening, and 8:30 a.m. Monday until the time of service.
