Miss Anna H. Knell, 82, a resident of 2402 Freemont St., Madison, died Friday evening, Oct. 28, at University Hospital, Madison.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Edmund E. Olson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Miss Knell was born July 25 (sic), 1901, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late William and Bessie Kliner Knell. She grew up and was educated at Manitowoc. In 1925 she graduated from Marquette University School of Nursing, Milwaukee. Miss Knell was employed at University Hospital, Madison, for 45 years, retiring in 1968. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Madison.
Survivors include four nieces, Mrs. Alice Behrmann of Manitowoc, Mrs. Ruth Dassow of Sheboygan, Mrs. Eunice Grimm of Westmont, Ill. and Mrs. Arlen Nimz of Columbus, Ohio; four nephews, Kenneth Newberg of Manitowoc, Carl Newberg of Manitowoc, Robert Knell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Philip Knell of Los Gatos, Calif.; an aunt, Mrs. Libbie Anderson of Manitowoc; a dear friend, Miss Regina Wedepole of Madison, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Pfeffer and Reinbold Funeral Home, 1 p.m. Monday until the time of services. Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, Madison or the donors choice.
