EAGLES GROUP CHAPLAIN DIES AT HER HOME
Mrs. Albert Knickelbine, 57, Had Heart Attack; Rites Will Be Saturday
Mrs. Albert Knickelbine, 57, chaplain of the Eagles auxiliary since the
organization was formed 10 years ago, died this morning at the home, 722
South 23rd street. She was taken ill last Friday and suffered a heart attack
a few hours before her death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek
and Schlei funeral home. The Rev. O. A. Menke will officiate and interment
will be at Evergreen cemetery.
The deceased, whose maiden name was Margaret Frances Schrimpf, was born in the
town of Kossuth 57 years ago. She was married in 1897 to Albert Knickelbine and
since then resided in the city.
Mrs. Knickelbine took an active interest in auxiliary circles of the Eagles and
was chosen the first chaplain of the order. She continued to serve in that office
until her death.
Survivors are the widower; a son Marvin, city; a daughter, Mrs. Harold La Plant,
Grand Rapids, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Meyer, city, and Mrs. R. H.
Schaeffer, Berwyn, Ill.; a brother, Joseph, St. Cloud, Minn., and two grandchildren,
Dale and Lee Knickelbine, city.
The body may be viewed at the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home from Friday
noon until the hour of the funeral.
