Naomi R. Knipp, age 76, of 2009 Marshall St., Manitowoc, died on Thursday morning,
Jan. 15, 2009, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.
She was born on Nov. 8, 1932, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Henry and Ruth
(Neuhaus) Struck. Naomi was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, class
of 1951. She then graduated from Theda Clark Hospital and received her licensed
practical nurses degree. Upon graduation, she then was employed with Holy Family
Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. In June of 1960, she married Roger Bashaw. On
Aug. 1, 1992, she married Francis R. Knipp at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Naomi was also employed with Imperial Eastman Company, and was most notably known
for 20 plus years of employment at The Penguin Restaurant as a waitress behind
the counter. After retirement, Naomi was an active volunteer at St. Mary's Nursing
Home Gift Shop.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband: Roger Bashaw; an infant sister:
Joanne; a brother-in-law: Gerry Manthey; and her godmother: Leona Schroer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, at Bethany
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev.
Robert Kujawski, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation
Care Center, Manitowoc, from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009.
Friends may also call on Monday morning at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Naomi's name.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to her physicians, the
Aurora Oncology staff and the Aurora Medical staff for their exceptional and loving
care of Naomi during her courageous battle with cancer.
She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother. She loved flowers, and
enjoyed gardening during the summer around her home. She enjoyed music and the theater,
and regularly attended events at the Capitol Civic Centre. She also enjoyed playing
Sheepshead and bridge with friends and family.
