Ross A. Knorr, 79, of 727 North 6th St., Manitowoc, died Saturday, December 7, 1991 at Shady lane Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Revs. Arno Wolfgramm and Bruce Bitter will officiate with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born December 17, 1911 in Chicago, Ill, son of the late John and Florence Wampole Knorr. Mr. Knorr worked for United Film Service, WCUB Radio Station and the Herald Times Reporter from where he retired in 1973. He married Erna W. Wordell on October 4, 1935 in Manitowoc, Wis. He was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Erna; a daughter, Miriam (Randy) King of Fla., three grandchildren, Michael Swokowski, Dixie Ammons and Laurie Ammons; also other relatives, friends. He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church on Tuesday, 3:30 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials appreciated to First German Evangelical Lutheran Church or the charity of the donors choice.
