Diane was born on January 20, 1936, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Herbert and Irene (Pleuss) Baryenbruch. She attended schools in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1954. Diane married Wayne Knowles on May 10, 1958, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1998. She worked in the purchasing department at Imperial Eastman Manufacturing for 16 years and was a Tupperware manager for 15 years. Diane was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Manitowoc Yacht Club Auxiliary.
Survivors include her very special daughter: Kelly Knowles and her fiancé, Will Kiel, both of Manitowoc; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Kenneth (Jean) Knowles, Spring Green; special cousins: Sharon (Jim) Gannon, Waunakee; Don (Doloros) Baryenbruch, Manitowoc; Donna (Jack) Boyer, Alpine, CA; special nephew: Richard (Rita) Knowles, Manitowoc. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband: Wayne Knowles.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2011 at Immnauel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 916 Pine Street, Manitowoc. Rev. Nicholas Maglietto and Rev. Paul Schossow will officiate with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the Knowles family.
