Mr. Edgar B. Knutson, 68, of 1219 S. 36th St., Manitowoc, died Friday morning, May 18, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Keith Haag will officiate and burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Graveside military services will be accorded Mr. Knutson by V.F.W. Otto Oas Post No. 659.
Mr. Knutson was born Jan. 10, 1916, at Valders, Wis., son of the late Gustave and Hannah Madson Knutson. He was a graduate of Valders High School Class of 1934. He married the former Florence G. Franke on Nov. 30, 1939, at Manitowoc. The couple resided in Manitowoc after their marriage. Mr. Knutson was a veteran serving with the United States Army in Korea. He was a member of V.F.W. Otto Oas Post No. 659. Mr. Knutson had been employed by Consolidated Freightways for 26 years, retiring in 1973, and was a member of Teamsters local No. 56.
Survivors include his wife, Florence; a son, Kenneth Knutson of Cupertino, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Charles Brewer of Merrillville, Ind.; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Sara Knutson of Largo, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Ruth Knutson of Valders and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and at the church on Monday from noon to the time of services.
