Mrs. Nels E. Knutzen Sr., 80, 611 N. Ashland Ave., died Sunday evening in a local hospital after a brief illness. The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nels Nelson was born Nov. 6, 1881, at Manitowoc, and married Mr. Knutzen in Chicago, Ill., on Oct. 18, 1911. The couple have been Green Bay residents for the past 47 years. Mrs. Knutzen was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Nels Jr., Green Bay; one daughter, Mrs. Donald S. (Helen) Kennedy, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Friends may call at Findeisen-Greiser Funeral Home after 7 tonight. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Harold Wisner officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
