Mrs. Walter Koebke, 83, formerly of 408 S. 26th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday
afternoon at Maple Crest Nursing Home, Whitelaw.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Edmund E. Olson will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Koebke, nee Dora Mathias, was born Jan. 2, 1888, in the Town of Kossuth,
daughter of the late Mr. And Mrs. Herman Mathias. She attended schools in the
Town of Kossuth. She was married to Walter Koebke July 8, 1906, at Manitowoc,
and the couple resided here all their lives. They celebrated their golden
wedding anniversary in 1956. Mrs. Koebke was a member of St. Paul Lutheran
Church and the Ladies Circle of the church.
Survivors include her husband, a son, Eugene of Manitowoc, a daughter, Miss
Ruth Marie Koebke of Manitowoc, a grandchild, two great grandchildren, nieces
and nephews.
Friends may call at the Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 6 to 9 o'clock this
Friday evening and Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund.
