Mrs. Mary C. Koehler, 91, formerly of 943 N. 11th St., Manitowoc, who resided
at St. Mary Nursing Home the past month, died Wednesday evening at Holy Family
Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral
Home and at 11 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. William
Kuhr will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Koehler, nee Mary Witt, as born Mar. 8, 1882, at Kellnersville, daughter of
the late Anton and Anna Reindl Witt. She was educated at North Side High School
and Wisconsin Business College, Manitowoc. She was married to John J. Koehler in
1910, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The couple owned and operated the Koehler
Jewelry Store until Mr. Koehler death in 1928. She continued to operate the store
until recent years when her son acquired the business. She was a member of the
Christian Mothers Altar Society of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and the Catholic
Womens Club.
Survivors include a son, John A., of Manitowoc; a daughter, Sister Anne Koehler,
C.S.J., of St. Joseph Hospital, Milwaukee; a brother, Emil, of Manitowoc; a sister,
Mrs. E. J. Anderson, Of Fergus Falls, Minn.; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Friday until the time of service.
