Mrs. Hugo Kohls, 72, of 1110 Madison St., Manitowoc, died Saturday afternoon
after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc, with the Rev. L. H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 21, 1890, in Brown County, daughter of the late William and
Minnie Rose Prieser. She was married to Hugo Kohls Oct. 5, 1921, at Manitowoc.
The couple observed its 50th anniversary in October. She was a charter member
of the Marine Band auxiliary.
Among survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Eisner Jr., of Manitowoc;
two brothers, Dan of Manitowoc and Clarence of Yuma, Ariz.; four sisters, Mrs.
Edward Krainik, Mrs. Elbert Gohr and Mrs Adolph Mancl of Manitowoc and Mrs. Frank
Othersall of Green Bay ; and two grandchildren. Two brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc , until 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body will lie in
state until time of service.
