Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arno J. Wolfgramm will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Kolancheck was born July 15, 1903, in the Town of Newton, son of the late
Joseph and Augusta Dickert Kolanchek. He grew up and was educated in the Town
of Newton. He married Frieda A. Reinhardt Oct. 24, 1925, at First German
Evangelical Lutehran Church and moved to Manitowoc in 1926. Mr. Kolancheck had
been a cheesemaker and buttermaker all his life, working first for John Wier
Cheese Factory and from 1924 until his retirement in 1965 from Midwest Creamery
in Manitowoc. Mrs. Kolancheck preceded him in death Aug. 30, 1976. He was a member
of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Flora Krumm and Mrs. Julia Strupp of Manitowoc;
two brothers, Otto Pautz of Plymouth and Emil Pautz of Lancaster, Pa.; a brother-
in-law and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Jacob of Manitowoc and nieces and
nephews. A brother and three sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 o'clock to 9
o'clock this Tuesday afternoon and at the church from noon Wednesday until the
time of service. Memorials may be made to First German Evangelical Church.
