ROBERT FREDERICK KOLLATH

Robert F. Kollath, age 76, of 1024 N. 13th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning,
May 27, 2003, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation
Care Center, Manitowoc, from 11 a.m. Friday until 1 p.m. at which time the funeral
cortege will leave for a 1:30 p.m. funeral service at First Lutheran Church,
Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Steven Solberg with burial at
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Graveside Military Rites will be accorded by V.F.W.
Otto Oas Post #659.
He was born November 24, 1926, in Manitowoc, son of the late Alvin and Della
Hendrickson Kollath. Bob was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of
1945. He served with the United States Army in occupied Italy, receiving his
honorable discharge in 1947. On November 29, 1947, he married the former Elaine F.
Stastny at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in
death Dec. 25, 2000. Bob was employed with Imperial Eastman for many years until
his retirement. He was an usher at First Lutheran Church and a member of T.P.A.
(Travelers Protective Association) and V.F.W. Otto Oas Post #659 of Manitowoc.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Karen and Randall Leifer, Manitowoc;
three grandchildren: Eric (Angela) Siebert, Omaha, Neb., Jennifer Behnke and Justin
Behnke, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; four step grandchildren: Rachel (Jeremiah) Wright,
Jacksonville, Fla., Paul Leifer, New Ulm, Minn., Rebekah Leifer, Reno, Nev., Nathan
Leifer, Manitowoc; two great grandchildren: Kailey and Ethan Siebert and a sister-
in-law and her spouse: Shirley Kollath Schuette and August Schuette. Also surviving
is a nephew: David Kollath, Kenosha; and a niece: Cathy (Peter) Burback, Manitowoc,
along with other relatives and many friends. He was also preceded in death by a
daughter, Cindy Horton and a brother, Charles Kollath.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family
with funeral arrangements.
