EVELYN M. ZIARNIK KRAINIK
Evelyn M. Krainik, age 93, formerly of South 22nd Street, Manitowoc,
died on Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center,
Manitowoc.
Evelyn was born on July 22, 1917, in Green Bay, Wis., daughter of the
late George and Elizabeth (Harmon) Modrow. On Oct. 28, 1939, she married
Emil Ziarnik in Green Bay. He preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 1963. She
later married Paul Krainik on June 17, 1967, in Manitowoc. He preceded
her in death on Dec. 15, 1982. Evelyn was a former manager for the Rahr's
Gift Shop from 1963 to 1982. She enjoyed the Wind Ensemble, Masquers,
traveling and loved roses. Evelyn was also a member of the Senior Center,
Manitowoc.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Myrtle Hlawek, Sylvia McCarn,
and Betty Dopke.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, May 25, 2011,
at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Burial to follow at
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at
St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 11 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed in Evelyn's name to Alzheimer's
Association, the Senior Center of Manitowoc or St. Francis of Assisi.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral
arrangements.
