ARTHUR D. KRAUSE
Arthur D. Krause, 82, died Saturday night after a lingering illness at his home,
1101 Green St., Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. A.C. Fischer will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Born Jan. 4, 1872, at Port Washington, Wis., Mr. Krause followed the pattern maker
trade before coming to Newton where he farmed. He married Margaret Kreie at Newton
in 1896 and the couple resided in the community until 1907 when they established
residence at Manitowoc. While in Newton, Mr. Krause served as clerk of the White
Trail School Board. Mrs. Krause died in 1911.
Survivors include two daughters, Miss Estelle Krause and Mrs. Elvira Schuette of
Manitowoc; a son, Norman of Manitowoc; and two sisters, Mrs. Emily Kiefer of
Milwaukee and Mrs. Otto Frank of Cudahy.
