Miss Estelle Krause, 56, of 1101 Green St., Manitowoc, died Thursday at Holy
Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
with the Rev. Richard Schmitt officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 2, 1906, at Newton, daughter of the late Arthur and Margaretha
Kreie Krause. The family moved to Manitowoc when she was a small child and she
attended public schools at Manitowoc and was graduated with the first class from
Lincoln High School in 1924. She attended Manitowoc County Normal School for a
time and later was employed at Wisconsin Telephone Co., Esch Department Store,
Greenwald Grocery Store and the Drost Box Co., of Manitowoc until illness forced
her to retire. She had been a member of the First Reformed United Church for many
years and was a Sunday School teacher.
Among survivors is a brother, Norman, of Manitowoc, an aunt, Mrs. Emily Kiefer,
of Milwaukee and numerous cousins. A sister and two brothers also preceded her
in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home until the hour of service.
