LELAND KREIMANN

Leland Kreimann, 77, of 4412 N. Campbell St., Chicago, Ill., died Thursday at
Rosewood Manor Nursing Home, Chicago.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Bruce Huffer will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Kreimann was born Sept. 12, 1893, in the Town of Schleswig, Manitowoc County,
son of the late Edward and Emma Scheling Kreimann. He attended schools in the Town
of Schleswig and at Kiel. Following his schooling, he owned and leased various gas
stations in the Manitowoc area until 1942. He married Clara Krueger June 18, 1919,
in the Town of Eaton. He later was employed at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc. until
1952 when the couple moved to Chicago. His wife preceded him in death in 1960. He
then married Mrs. Mildred Bextel May 26, 1962, at Chicago. Mr. Kreimann was a member
of the Bowmanville Baptist Church, Chicago, of which he was a deacon and Sunday
school teacher for many years.
Survivors include his wife; a son, the Rev. Gladwin Kreimann, of Mountain View,
Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. David (Shirley) Boyes of Kano, North Africa, Mrs. Leslie
(Caroline) Sapsford of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Mrs. William (Pearl) Ahlswede of Rt. 2,
Manitowoc; a step-daughter, Miss Anita Kreimann, of Chicago; a sister, Miss Lily
Kreimann, of New Holstein and 15 grandchildren. Two brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and at
the church Monday from noon until the time of services.
