MARIE KREJCI

IS STRICKEN ON STREET, DEATH IN SHORT TIME
Mrs. Krejce (sic) Victim of Heart Failure.
Stricken by heart failure while on her way home from a visit to her mother a
few blocks from her home, Mrs. Emanuel Krejcie, pioneer resident of the county,
expired shortly after she was taken to her residence at 914 N. Fourteenth
street at 10 o’clock last night. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3
o’clock from the home, with interment at Evergreen.
Mrs. Krejcie(sic) had spent the evening with her mother, Mrs. Stueber, near the
fair grounds, and was stricken as she reached the corner of Michigan avenue on
her return. John Pitz, Jr., who happened to pass in a car noted the plight of
Mrs. Krejcie who was supporting herself against a tree and he assisted her into
the car and took her to her home. A physician was summoned but before his arrival,
Mrs. Krejcie passed away. Heart failure was the cause of death.
Mrs. Krejcie was born in the town of Kossuth Sept. 25, 1864, and after her marriage,
resided in Gibson for thirty-six years, coming to this city two years ago. She is
survived by her husband and four children, Otto, Jerre, Emil and Edward, and by a
number of brothers and sisters. Her aged mother, who is 78, also survives.
