Otto Krejcie, 53, retired grocer, died Sunday afternoon following a
lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Wattawa,
Urbanek and Schlei funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Krejcie was born at Gibson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Krejcie.
Twenty-six years ago he came to this city and was employed at the
Reinken tobacco shop and by the Clark Oil company. Several years ago
he opened a grocery store at New York avenue and North 13th street,
which he operated until taken ill three years ago.
He took an interest in wood carving and in a small shop in the rear of
his home gathered a large collection of wood carvings. His brothers
said today these will be turned over to the museum of the County
Historical society.
Survivors are three brothers, Jerry, Emil and Edward Krejcie, all of
this city.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Tuesday noon until the
hour of the services Wednesday.
