VICTOR E. KREJCIE
Victor E. Krejcie, 77, of 4949 Morgan Drive, Manitowoc, died early Saturday,
December 1, 1990 at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be
9:30 am Tuesday at Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home and 10 am
at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated
by Rev. Daniel Felton with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born February 21, 1913 at Manitowoc, son of the late Edward and Anna Chizek
Krejcie. He grew up in Manitowoc and attended Manitowoc schools, graduating from
Lincoln High School and also attending Alviene University, New York City. He worked
a season as a Master of Ceremonies and a Dancing Waiter in several Wisconsin Night
Clubs. Later he owned and operated the Victor School of Dancing in Manitowoc. In
1939 he was employed by the Eddy Paper Company which later became the Weyerhaeuser
Company. In 1952 he was transferred to Cedar Rapids, Iowa as a Plant Manager of the
Weyerhaeuser Plant. In 1964 he left the company to take a position with the Miller
Containers company of Rock Island, Illinois. Later he joined the Northwestern
Corragated Box Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota and in 1966 he was employed by the
Georgia Pacific Corporation as a Purchasing Agent for their plants in Sheboygan,
Wisconsin. He stayed with the company until his retirement in 1978. He was married
to Agnes M. Dewane on June 1, 1935 at St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown. She
preceded him in death December 13, 1989. He was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic
Church, 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly No. 710 of Manitowoc and 4th Degree
Knights of Columbus Council No. 1212 of Manitowoc. He was also a member of Manitowoc
Elks B.P.O. No. 687. In 1927 he was the first Eagle Scout of Troop No. 5 in
Manitowoc.
Survivors include a sister, Grace Ambrogio of Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law,
Dr. Robert V. and Evelyn Krejcie of Maple, Wisconsin; three daughters and sons-in-law,
Virginia and Kenneth Bureau of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Marjorie and John LaBrecque of
Sun Valley, California, Bernadette and Richard Lambert of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren;
six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded
in death by a grand daughter, Laura Bureau.
Friends may call at Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home from 5-9 pm this
Monday. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 pm said by Deacon Donald Gigure.
Memorials would be appreciated for the local Boy Scouts Organization.
